Recognized divisions and show order:

  • Berkshire

  • Duroc

  • Hampshire

  • White OPB

  • OPB

  • Yorkshire

  • Light Crossbred

  • Dark Crossbred

Only one pig per breed can accumulate points for the member. A member cannot receive points for two

Yorkshire barrows. To receive points for two pigs, the member must exhibit two separate breeds. If

showing two pigs of the same breed, only the higher placing of the two will accumulate points.

No limit to the number of breeds that a member can enter at each show. But, a member can only earn

points for two breeds at each show.

Only the points from the two highest placing pigs that an individual exhibits at each show will count

toward an individual’s total points. In the case of a member’s pigs placing the same (a tie breaker), the

CJSA member will contact the Points Coordinator BEFORE THE NEXT SANCTIONED SHOW, to choose

which pig receives the points for said show. If the Points Coordinator is not contacted BEFORE THE NEXT

SANCTIONED SHOW, then the default will be Showman.app’s, or whatever platform the CJSA Board has

selected for the show season, default which is the alphabetical order of the pig breeds and the order the

pigs were showed. Exceptions to this rule can be made for good cause within a reasonable amount of

time.

It is possible to use points earned from more than two breeds to achieve a member’s overall points total.

The exhibitors may use points for Duroc and Hampshire pigs at one show and points for Crossbred and

Yorkshire pigs at another show, to achieve an overall points total.

Season total points will be calculated on the top 18 (Max 9 shows count - this number may vary from

season to season) pigs across the season. Points are gained by pig and not by show. A member may use

the top 9 shows points from one breed and top 9 shows points from another breed and they may not be

from the same 9 shows. No more than 9 shows points can come from one breed. More than two breeds

can make up the top 18 points for a member. (This number falls back to the 65% of shows rule and will be

calculated on that basis for the numbers above)

There will be no top-end weight limits for pigs. CJSA has the right to remove any pig which poses a safety

risk to any individual. This would include removal from ring, pens and facility should they be a safety

hazard.

Any hog that is re-classified during the show season will retain points earned before reclassification.

However, from that point forward, said pig will only gain points in its new classification.

If a member has multiple pigs in a class, another individual may show one pig and the pig may still

accumulate points.

Members must otherwise exhibit their own animals to earn points.

2nd = 40

3rd = 30

4th = 20

5th = 10
